Melvin Richard Boltz, 71, of Myerstown, PA, died Monday, June 8, 2020 at his residence.

He was the husband of Kay (Miller) Boltz. They celebrated their 52nd anniversary on October 14, 2019.

Born in Lebanon, PA on December 25, 1948, he was a son of Mary Jane (Valentine) Boltz and the late Richard M. Boltz.

A 1967 graduate of Northern Lebanon High School, Melvin retired after 46 years of service at Midway Truck Service. He was a member of St. Paul’s U.C.C , Hamlin, Myerstown Jaycees, Mt. Zion Fire Co., Mt. Aetna Fire Co., Bethel Fire Co., & Goodwill Fire Co. Melvin enjoyed the Reading Phillies, volunteering in the community, & attending local carnivals/events.

In addition to his wife and mother, Melvin is survived by a daughter, Michelle, wife of Walter Philipp, of Lebanon; sons Jeff Boltz, husband of Jana, of Lebanon, Jason Boltz, husband of Tricia, of Newmanstown; sisters, Sheila, wife of Bruce Sholly, Sharon, wife of Dave Walters; brothers, Neil Boltz, husband of Barbara, Rick Boltz, husband of Ann Marie; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews & cousins.

Funeral services are private.
