Mercedes Pujals-Padilla, 95, of Lebanon, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021, at the Lebanon Valley Home in Annville, PA.

Born in Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico on Jan. 13, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Jose Pujals-Morales and Juana Padilla-Rodriguez. She was also the wife of the late Anibal Rivera, and volunteered for the American Red Cross as an interpreter.

Mercedes enjoyed crafting, cooking, fundraising, coordinating special events, and, most of all, family time was her priority. She was an exemplary Christian, who was passionate, very giving, and kept an open door for people in need.

Surviving is her only son, Jamie Olivencia-Pujals, of Lebanon, grandchildren, Lissette Olivencia and Jaime Olivencia, Jr., six great-grandchildren, nieces, Maria B. Perez and Georgina Quiles, Lillian Zimmermanan, and a nephew, Adelino Pujals, along with many great-nephews and -nieces, especially two warm and loving great-nieces, Elizabeth Guardiola and Jennifer Class.

A public viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021 at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main St., Annville, PA 17003. A brief celebration of life service, followed by the interment will be held at 11:15 a.m. at Grand View Memorial Park, 500 N. Weber St., Lebanon, PA 17046.
