Michael A. Shay died Dec. 2, 2020, at the age of 61, in the Hospice Unit of the Lebanon VA. He was the son of the late Woodrow B. Shay and Nancy Wentling Shay. He was preceded in death by his soulmate, Dianne Luciotti. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons, Michael and Corey, both of Lebanon, and one grandson; three brothers, Barry (Jennifer), of Lewes, Del. Stephen (Mary), of Denver, Pa. James (Beth), of Hershey, Pa., and several nieces and nephews.

He graduated in 1977 from Cedar Crest High School and served in the Navy from 1977 to 1981. He was employed by Colortech, Diamond Precision Imaging, Downtown Screening, and later worked at restoration and painting houses. He liked disc golf and was a member of Lebanon Valley Disc Golf Club, and was an avid Orioles fan. He belonged to R Field & Stream, where he could often be found fishing. He liked to help the patients at the Lebanon VA when they came there in groups to fish. He was also a past member of Lebanon County Bass Anglers and fished in many tournaments.

He was a good brother, and a wonderful son and father and will be greatly missed. He was always there if anyone needed help.

A viewing will be on Dec. 10, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Christman’s Funeral Home, Inc. Services will follow at 11:30 a.m.

Burial will be at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, following the service.
