Michael Alan Barrett, 69, of Lebanon, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2024.

Michael spent his life working courageously and tirelessly for the well-being of the people of the City of Lebanon. He did this work through his leadership at the Lebanon County Housing Authority for almost 40 years. He helped build Lebanon Family Health Services from the ground and was a resounding advocate for those who needed help when help was needed most. He was a revered member of our diverse community.

Mike was the loving brother of two sisters, Sharon Weaver (wife of Ben) and Carrie Hedrick, both of Lebanon; three nieces, Sarah Kitchen (wife of Michael), Katelyn McAleney-Reidel (wife of Andrew), and Maggie Beam, all of Lebanon; and nephew, Sheldon Weaver, of Reading. In addition, he is survived by great lifelong friends: James Himmelberger, Melody Rowe, and Diane McKinney.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty; and father, Red Barrett.

He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend.

Visitation will be at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024, at Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home, 5 Camp Meeting Road, Jonestown. A service will follow at 7 p.m.
