Michael B. Morningstar, 54, of West Hanover Township passed away Monday, November 15, 2021.

Born May 16, 1967 in Wellsville, New York, he was a son of Leroy J. and Judith A. (Denny) Morningstar of Middletown. A former AT&T systems technician, Mike was a system administrator for the U.S. Army War College, Carlisle.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by wife Marlene K. (Brandt) Morningstar; brother Leroy Jack, Jr., husband of Jennifer Morningstar of Waxhaw, North Carolina; and nephews Joshua and Jacob Morningstar. Michael was also a beloved brother-in-law to Marlene’s six siblings, and a favorite uncle to Marlene’s 32 nieces and nephews.

Michael enjoyed the outdoors with his lab, Luke, he was an avid fisherman, loved boating, and visiting the Outer Banks and Hilton Head. Michael could fix anything and was always helping with family projects. He enjoyed grilling and entertaining and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Buse Funeral Home, 9066 Jonestown Road, Grantville preceded by a viewing from 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 897, Hershey, PA 17033.
