Michael C. Rhen, 70, of Fredericksburg, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Jan L. (Yingst) Rhen. On June 4, they would have celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary.
Born in Lebanon on Feb. 23, 1955, he was the son of the late Carl A. Rhen Jr. and Mary Jane (Fortna) Rhen.
He was a member of the Northern Lebanon Class of 1973. Mike retired in 2010 as a Lineman for Met-Ed. He was a member of the IBEW. He enjoyed stump art, stone landscaping, and being outdoors. He especially loved spending his time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Justin M., and his wife, Erica Rhen, of Pen Argyle, Jarrod M., and his wife, Emma Rhen, of New Hope, and Jordan M., and his wife, Jennifer Rhen, of Fredericksburg; sister, Michelle J., wife of Jim Strauser, of Bethel; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 21, 2025, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will follow at the Salem Evangelical Cemetery, Ono.
