Michael D. Sheffy, 53, of Jonestown, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2025, at his home.
Born in Lebanon on March 7, 1971, he was the son of Paul E. Sanger Jr., of Fredericksburg, and the late Marcene L. Dostich Sanger.
Michael owned and operated his lawn mower service. He also worked with a blacktop contractor. He loved fishing, dirt track racing, riding his motorcycle, shooting darts, pool, and especially hanging out with his family and friends.
In addition to his father, Michael is survived by his brothers, Stephen D. (Beth) Sheffy, of Fredericksburg, Paul E. (Michelle) Sanger III, of Jonestown, Stacey (Sara) Sanger, of York Haven, Wayne E. Sanger, of Cleona, and Steve (Jane) Sanger, of Jonestown; sisters, Tammi L. Hopkins, of Ashland, VA, and Amanda J. Sanger, wife of the late Rodney Beamesderfer, of Fredericksburg; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 21, 2025, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery, North Lebanon Township.
