Michael E. Fitzpatrick, 63, of Harrisburg, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022, at his home. He was the husband of Ronda F. Pope Fitzpatrick. On July 28th, they celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary.

Born in Philadelphia on April 15, 1959, he was the son of the late Eugene J. and Mary Ellen Slusher Fitzpatrick.

Mike worked as an electrician, and he retired as a TSgt. from the Air National Guard in 2007. He also served in the U.S. Marines. He was a loving husband and father and was always dependable to his wife, children, family, and friends. He especially loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed playing blackjack, going to the casinos, painting, building birdhouses, metal detecting, traveling, crabbing, and working with his hands.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Michael E. Fitzpatrick, II, of Harrisburg; daughter Bridgett K. Rutkowski of Harrisburg; brother Richard Fitzpatrick of Norfolk, VA; sister Eugenia M. Brandenburg of Alma, AR; grandchildren Elizabeth, Rylye, Robert, III, Trinity, and Payton; as well as several relatives and lifelong friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother John J. Fitzpatrick.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment with military honors will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
