Michael G. Gerhart, 61, of Jonestown, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at his home. He was the husband of Jeanette A. Whitworth Gerhart. On Oct. 19, they would have celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary.

Born in Lebanon on Jan. 5, 1963, he was the son of Annette L. Reinfeld Gerhart of Elizabethtown and the late Richard D. Gerhart.

He was a graduate of the Palmyra High School Class of 1981. Michael worked in car sales for most of his life. He was an extraordinary athlete, and he loved all sports. He enjoyed golfing, riding his Harley, and going to the beach and the mountains. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife and his mother, he is survived by his children, Ashlyn R. Gerhart, of Jonestown, and Michael G. Gerhart Jr., of New York; and brothers, Steven R. Gerhart, of Hummelstown, and Jeffrey S. Gerhart, of North Carolina.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. There will be a viewing beginning at 9 a.m. until the start of the service. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park, N. Annville Twp.
