Michael J. Koehler, 67, of Lititz, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at his residence. He was the loving husband of Sharon (Leisey) Koehler, to whom he was married for 47 years.
Born in Lebanon, he was the son of the late James D. and Loretta M. (Cavalier) Koehler.
Mike graduated from Cedar Crest High School and owned and operated Aerial Communication Systems Inc., which he started in 1998. He enjoyed boating on the Chesapeake, golfing, hunting, target shooting, and snow skiing. Mike’s passion was his family and his selfless devotion to anyone in need. He will be remembered for his great smile, quick wit, laugh, and work ethic. Mike enjoyed a good cigar and glass of bourbon, dining out with Sharon, being an avid Eagles fan, and watching old westerns on television. Mike and Sharon enjoyed traveling and spending time with their children and grandchildren. His private faith in his Lord and Savior gave him strength and courage to battle his disease with grace, finding joy in each day.
In addition to his wife, Sharon, he is survived by his son, Jason Koehler, of Lebanon, and his daughter, Jackie, wife of Paul Benninghove, of Mechanicsburg; five grandchildren, Brayden and Brianna Koehler, Antonio and Matteo Mareno, and Aaron Benninghove; and two sisters, Linda, wife of Don Rubright, of Nashville, TN, and Vikki, wife of John Wilbourne, of Lillington, NC.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
Memorial contributions in memory of Mike can be made to the Abramson Cancer Center Development, 3535 Market St., Suite 750, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
