It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michael L. “Mike” Carpenter, who left this world on June 8, 2025, at the age of 59.
Michael was born on July 18, 1965, in Ephrata, PA, to the late Ernest and Doris (Imhof) Carpenter, and spent his latter years residing in Lebanon, PA.
In his younger years, Michael excelled as a baseball player, a passion that never left him. He was also an ardent fan of the Green Bay Packers, often cheering them on alongside family and friends. His love for sports was matched only by his fondness for watching the news and staying informed about the world.
Michael was a devoted family man, survived by his loving spouse, Wendy E. (Singletary) Carpenter, and their children, Kirstie L. Carpenter, Lewis M. Carpenter, Wyatt S. Carpenter, and Holli A. Carpenter; and stepchildren, Renee Hosmer, Emily Smith, and Caitlyn Rummell.
Michael took immense joy in being a grandfather, leaving behind a legacy of love for his grandchildren, Janiyah, Jakirah, Sariyah, Chase, Aria, Lincoln, Aiden, Elijah, Everly, Azriel, Adrian, Archer, and Amari Michael; and sisters, Deb Godfrey, Sherry Troain, Karen Whitman, and Amy Newmaster; aunt, Jean Dishong; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service in celebration of Michael’s life will take place at the Moravian Church of Lebanon on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 11 a.m., with visitation preceding the service at 10 a.m.
His family invites all who knew and loved Michael to join them in honoring his memory and celebrating his life. He will be dearly missed but forever cherished in our hearts.
