Michael Scott Long, “Scott,” 63, of Annville, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025, at his residence with his family at his side. He was the husband of Maureen (Fenley) Long, to whom he was married for 40 years on Sept. 7.
Born in Lebanon, Scott was a son of Florence (Rivlin) Long, of Clayton, NC, and the late Ralph Long. He was a gospel evangelist and elder with the Susquehanna Church of Christ in Marietta, PA, for the last 17 years. He was an avid bible study teacher, and he loved his family, friends, and church family. He was a black belt in karate and enjoyed listening to music and woodworking. Evangelizing was his passion, along with bringing people to the scriptures and to Jesus.
In addition to his wife, Maureen, he is survived by his children, Theresa, wife of Terry Oliver, Timothy Long, and wife, Bailey, and Tabitha, wife of Elijah Stephens; grandchildren, Tristan, Shiloh, Phinehas, Susanna, Delilah, Roselynn, and Phoebe; brother, Douglas Long, and wife, Holly; nieces, Alyssa, and husband, Cecil, Hannah, and fiancée, Andy, and Elizabeth, and husband, David; brother-in-law, Richard; and mother-in-law, Mary.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025, at 2 p.m., from Kreamer Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville. Inurnment will be private. There will be no visitation or viewing prior to the service.
