Mildred B. (Boyer) Moyer, 95, of Annville, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at the Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. She was the wife of the late Samuel J. Moyer, who died on June 8, 1998.
Born in Lebanon County on April 22, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin H. and Mae V. (Wentling) Boyer.
Mildred worked in the knockout dept. of the Hershey Chocolate factory, when she married, she became a homemaker on the family farm. She was the oldest member of the Ono United Methodist Church. Mildred was a life member of Ono Fire Company Ladies Axillary, she enjoyed gardening, working in her flower beds, and doing puzzles, but most of all, she enjoyed family and the family gatherings every Friday and Sunday night. If you were not family by blood, you were still treated like family by Mildred, her home was always open, and there were always chocolate chip cookies in the cookie jar freshly made each Saturday.
She is survived by a son, Kenneth E., husband of Kim Moyer of Jonestown, daughters, Jean L., wife of Alfred Howard of Lebanon, Joyce E., wife of Marlin Good of Annville, Joan M. Sallada of Annville, Michelle A., wife of Brent Seibert of Jonestown who was raised by Samuel and Mildred after her mother Karen E. Hostetter passed away. 14 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren, brother, David E. Boyer of Cleona.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen E. Hostetter, infant daughter, Jeanette F. Moyer, son-in-law, Dean Sallada, and 11 siblings.
Funeral service will be on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ono United Methodist Church, 9 Main St., Ono, PA 17077. A viewing will be on Monday, October 24, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church. Interment will be at Salam Evangelical Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the church in memory of Mildred.
