Mildred E. Weidman, 94, of Myerstown, died Saturday, July 24, 2021, at the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. She was the wife of Franklin V. Weidman, who died July 20, 2009.

Born in Lebanon, PA on July 26, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Reuben and Beulah (Schrope) Walmer. A 1944 graduate of Lebanon High School, Mildred was an active member of Bethany Mission UMC, Lebanon. She was employed as a secretary at Winthrop Laboratories, Myerstown, for over 11 years. Mildred also helped do clerical work for her husband’s plumbing business and worked at Bethlehem Steel, Lebanon, for three years. She was a member of the Myerstown Women’s Club, where she was active in the music and drama division. Mildred enjoyed traveling, baking, cooking, motorcycle riding with her late husband, and spending time with her grandson.

She is survived by a daughter, Eileen F., wife of Ralph V. Hollinger, Jr., of Lebanon; son, Franklin L. Weidman, of Myerstown; grandson, Shane V. Hollinger, of Myerstown; sisters-in-law, Christine Walmer, of Jonestown, Kathryn Weidman, of Myerstown; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Harry Walmer and Warren Walmer.

A memorial service will be held Friday, July 30, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Bethany Mission UMC, Lebanon, preceded by a visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Inurnment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
