Mildred I. “Millie” Smith, 97, of Annville, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026, at Lebanon Skilled Nursing and Rehab. She was the wife of the late George L. Smith, who passed away in 1988.

Born in Pine Grove, she was a daughter of the late William and Elsie (Lengle) Loy. Millie was a homemaker and a member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lebanon. She was an avid gardener and reader and enjoyed word puzzles. Millie was a great cook and baker, and her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Donald Smith, and wife, Nancy, of Cleona, and Jeffrey Smith, and wife, Melinda, of Gunpowder, MD; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Millie was preceded in death by her son, Terry Smith; and siblings, William Loy, Robert Loy, Paul Loy, Esther Herring, Anna Herring, and Naomi Loy.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026, at 3 p.m., at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 119 N. 8th St., Lebanon, PA 17046. Interment will be private. There will be no viewing or visitation prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
