Miriam K. Maulfair, 87, of Lebanon, passed away Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Carl A. Maulfair, who passed away on June 8, 2002.

Born in Shellsville on April 16, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Marlin T. and Kathryn M. (Yingst) Hetrick.

She attended the Lebanon Area Evangelical Free Church. She worked as a nurse’s aide for the Lebanon VA Medical Center until she retired. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts, reading her Bible, shopping, dancing, reading a good book, playing games on her tablet, collecting cookbooks, baking, and, most of all, spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Deborah L., wife of Ralph Hix, of Lebanon, Randy C., husband of Bernadine Maulfair, of West Lebanon, and Carl C. Maulfair, fiancée of Deb Merkel, of Myerstown; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was the last of her immediate family.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 20, 2023, at Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. An Eastern Star service will begin at 9:45 a.m., followed by the viewing until the start of the service. Interment will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
