Monroe Neidig, 92, of Jonestown, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021, at his home. He was the husband of the late Beatrice V. Hummer Neidig.

Born in Swatara Twp. on May 1, 1928, he was the son of the late Marvin and Martha Swartz Neidig. He was a graduate of Lebanon High School Class of 1946.

Monroe served in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany. He was a member of the U.S. Army Reserves and later joined the Air Force National Guard 201st Red Horse and retired as a MSgt. in 1988. Monroe was employed at Fort Indiantown Gap and retired in 1995. He enjoyed riding his bike, listening to music and singing along, and spending time with family.

He is survived by his daughters Crystal L. wife of Paul Snyder, of Lickdale, Ginger R. wife of John Troxell, III, of Grantville and Nicole E. wife of Loren Stone, of Thompson, sister, Mae Weise, of Lebanon, and his grandchildren, Brooke and Connor Troxell, and Karina Stone.

He was preceded in death by his grandson Lenton Stone.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt. 72 & Camp Meeting Rd., Jonestown. A viewing will be held on Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Interment with military honors will follow at Waterworks U.M. Church Cemetery.
