Nancy A. Read, 69, of Annville, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024, at her home. She was the wife of the late Carl A. “Pop” Read.

Born in Lebanon on May 3, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Ernestine M. Kohr Kreiser.

Nancy retired from the Department of State Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs, where she worked in licensing. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Chapel, Greenpoint. She loved crafting and spending time with her family and granddaughters.

She is survived by her son, Andrew S., and his wife, Ashley M. Read, of Jonestown; her granddaughters, Destinee and Kennidee; brother, Larry N. Kreiser, of Jonestown; and sisters, Linda M. Mease, of Jonestown, and Alice I. Horney, of Annville.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jonathan C. Read; brother, Steven R. Kreiser, and sister, Dolores M. “Lori” Furlong.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 23, 2024, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home, Jonestown. There will be a viewing on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Hill Chapel Cemetery.
