Nancy W. Curtis, 80, of Bethel, passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov. 18, 2024. She was the wife of the late William L. Curtis.

Born in Norwalk, CT, on July 23, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Charles G. and Linnea (Okerblom) Woods. She graduated from Notre Dame Preparatory School in Baltimore, MD, with the Class of 1962.

Nancy loved her family and was devoted to them. Through good times and bad, she was always there. We remember the beautiful person she was to us — loving, caring, gentle, compassionate, and generous. She had a fond love of animals. She loved the Lord Jesus with all her heart and served Him faithfully. A trusted friend and confidante, she was always willing to pray or lend a helping hand.

She is survived by her daughters, Lee K., wife of Jeff Heckman, of PA, and Melissa C., wife of William Houser, of VA; grandchildren, Zach C., and his wife, Melissa, Jennifer M., and Brooke H.; and great-grandchildren, Landon and Faith.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Montgomery G. “Shay” Woods.

Thank you, Lord, for the one we called Mom, Nanny, and our best friend. She is and always will be one of the most precious gifts we could have ever had. We will love you forever.

Graveside services will be at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024, at Mount Holly Cemetery, 6172 Sumerduck Road, Remington, VA 22734, with Pastor Sean Walsh and Evangelist Vivian Ramey officiating.
