Neal G. Yiengst, 86, formerly of Fredericksburg, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at the Lebanon Valley Home, Annville.
Born in Lebanon on May 2, 1938, he was the son of the late George E. and Irene E. (Rudy) Yiengst.
Neal graduated and earned his accounting degree from Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ. He retired from Moen in Pine Grove, where he was an account manager. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fredericksburg and attended the Goshert’s Church in Mount Zion. For 25 years, he served as the church secretary at St. John’s and the treasurer for the Joint Council. For 18 years, he served as the secretary for the Fredericksburg Sewer & Water Authority and as the treasurer on the board for the Fredericksburg Library. He was a member of the Fredericksburg Fire Co., and for over 20 years, served as their treasurer. He was a member of the Fredericksburg Lion’s Club and served as their treasurer for many years. He also served on the Hinkelfest Committee.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Fredericksburg.
