Nora Ruth Light, 72, of Jonestown, passed away on Monday, Jan. 6, 2025, at her home. She was the wife of Kevin Light. On June 30, they celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary.
Born in Lebanon on Sept. 28, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Raymond J. and Luella Ream Kalbach.
For many years, Nora worked as a teller at the Jonestown Bank and the First National Bank of Fredericksburg. She also worked at Penn National Race Track. She was a Lebanon High School graduate with the Class of 1970. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to Hershey Park and Disney World, and going shopping. Nora loved her family and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She was always encouraging others and getting people to laugh and smile. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be missed by those who loved her most.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Michelle K., wife of the late Michael Foster, of Harrisburg, Jill L., wife of Jamie Bollinger, of Carlisle, and Jamie M., wife of Duane Heller, of Annville; brothers, Raymond Kalbach, of Cleona, and Joseph Kalbach, of Jonestown; sister, Mary Jane Kalbach, of Jonestown; and grandchildren, Jillian, Jason, Andrew, Paige, Wesley, Kipton, and Layla.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Judith Kalbach.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2025, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home, Jonestown. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service.
