Norman V. Yingst, 90, of North Londonderry Twp., passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021, at Palmyra Heritage House.
Born Aug. 28, 1931 in Hershey, he was a son of the late Norman V. and Mildred C. (Palmer) Yingst.
Retired as a maintenance supervisor from AMP, Inc., Norman was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was also a member of First United Methodist Church, Palmyra and AMP Nimrods.
Surviving are his wife of almost 65 years, Shirley L. (Nornhold) Yingst; daughter, Doreen Longenecker; sons, Steve Yingst and Timothy Yingst (Carol); sister, Shirley Sternberger; brother, Simon Yingst (Patricia); grandchildren, Scott Longenecker (Erin), Lindsey Yingst, Ryan Yingst, Brett Yingst, and Holly Yingst; great-grandson, Griffyn Longenecker; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Jan Rudisill.
A service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment, with military honors, will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
