Olga Meyer, 73, of Bethel, PA, died Saturday, November 20, 2021, at her residence. She was the wife of Sterling C. Meyer. They celebrated 54 years of marriage on April 29, 2021.

Born in Rothenberg, Ub Der Tauber, Germany, on May 6, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Katharina (Yuskiv) Ilus. Olga was 1966 graduate of ELCO High School. She worked as a seamstress at Publix Shirt Company Myerstown for 18 years. She also worked with her husband in the construction industry Olga enjoyed fishing with her husband and was a member of the Blue Mountain 50 Plus Club.

In addition to her husband, Olga is survived by son, Sterling “Peanut” Meyer, Jr., of Myerstown; daughter, Tracey, wife of Erik Kauffman, of Bethel; three sisters, Anna, wife of John Klahr, of Richland; Maria, wife of Jay Dubbs, of Mt. Aetna; Cathy, wife of Daryl Spitler, of Myerstown; brother, Peter, Jr., husband of Lisa Ilus, of Mt. Aetna, grandchildren, Darienne and Brantt; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a nephew, Casey Ilus.

A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. at Mt. Aetna Fire Co. Social Hall, 105 W. Tanner St., Mt Aetna, PA 19544. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Penn State Cancer Institute PO Box 852 Hershey, PA 17033.
