Patricia A. “Patty” Gristick, 87, of Lebanon, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021, at Cedar Haven Healthcare Center. She was the wife of the late Stephen A. Gristick. Born in Lebanon on May 12, 1933, Patricia was the daughter of the late Joseph and Beatrice (Newmaster) Sahonic.
She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Patty enjoyed raising poodles, spending time with her grandchildren and visiting Delaware Park, Atlantic City and Hollywood Casio in Grantville. Patricia graduated from Lebanon High School in 1951. She worked as a waitress for forty years at Penn National Race Course.
She is survived by five sons, Stephen A. Jr., Harrisburg, PA, Brian, Budd, Lake, NJ, Greg, husband of Christine (Angelino), Allentown, PA, Gary, husband of Susan (Santee), Lebanon, PA, and Jason, Harrisburg, PA, nine grandchildren, Brooke Cox, Katelyn Adams, Adam Gristick, Anthony Gristick, Amanda Morgan, Allison Younker, Gary Gristick, Zach Gristick, and Abigail Rogers, and ten great-grandchildren, Keely, Ava, Eli, Everett, Penelope, Mason, Riley, Hattie, and Brynn. Patricia is also survived by one brother and three sisters, Francis Sahonic, husband of Carol, Judith Hoke, wife of Richard, Brenda Szuchanek, and Suzanne Rueppel, wife of Sam, all of Lebanon.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Leon Ruhl, husband of Mary, and Joseph Sahonic Jr., and one sister Joanne Geesey, wife of Thomas, all of Lebanon.
Everyone who knew Patty will remember her for her outgoing personality and willingness to help others, but mostly for her sense of humor accompanied by her beautiful smile. She will be sadly missed.
