Patricia Eileen “Patty” Swanger, 65, of Palmyra, passed away at her residence on Saturday, May 18, 2024. She was the wife of Paul Nelson Swanger, with whom she celebrated 40 years of marriage.

Patricia was born in Harrisburg on Sept. 11, 1958, to the late Jay Marlin Gruber and Katharine Elmira (Hill) Gruber.

Patty was a 1976 Annville-Cleona High School graduate. She retired from Hershey Chocolate Company, where she worked in the kiss department. A hobby of hers was spending time on her computer, gardening, and watching movies with her kids.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, is her children, Nicole Elizabeth Swanger, of Palmyra, Paul Victor Swanger, of Palmyra, and Shane Jason Swanger, of Herndon, Virginia; a stepdaughter, Holly Ann (Swanger) Belcher, of Elizabethtown; a grandson, Anthony Paul Swanger, of Elizabethtown; a brother, Timothy Mark Gruber (Annette Slyva), of Annville; as well as nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024, at 12 p.m. at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville. Interment will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. There will be a viewing held on Thursday, May 23, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the funeral home and again on Friday morning from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
