Patricia Jean Harmuth, 90, of Lebanon, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Alpine Valley Post Acute & Healthcare Center. She was the wife of the late Robert F. Harmuth Sr.

Born in Lebanon, PA, on Nov. 5, 1934, Patricia was a daughter of the late Lester and Dorothy (Lynch) Smith.

She was a retired teacher’s aide from the Cornwall Lebanon School District. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church. She had a beautiful singing voice and had many songs she would sing throughout each day. Neighbors would be serenaded during summer months when windows were open. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and volunteering at the VFW and the Navy Club Auxiliary, but most of all, she treasured time spent with her family.

Patricia is survived by her children, Cynthia J. Layser, wife of David, Sharon L. Beard, wife of Thomas, Robert F. Harmuth Jr., and Brian S. Harmuth, husband of Pamela; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Kay Peiffer; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Smith; and sister, Nancy Trostle.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 31, 2025, at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon, PA 17042. Interment will follow at the Mount Lebanon Cemetery. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Patricia’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
