Patricia L. Van Kleunen, 85, of Annville, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Freedom Village at Brandywine, Coatesville. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William A. Van Kleunen, in 2008.
Born in Newark, NJ, on April 16, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Roland G. and Henrietta (Morrissey) Lawton.
Patricia earned a bachelor’s degree from Montclair State University, where she also performed in a modern dance group. After moving to Annville, in addition to raising her family, she became a dance instructor for young people in a variety of settings. As a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, she created a liturgical dance group to support worship at Mass. She also was an active member of the St. Paul’s community as a eucharistic minister, lector, one of the coordinators of a bible study group, and helped to lead parish trips to various worship sites.
Surviving Patricia is three children, Andrew W. Van Kleunen, of Philadelphia, Nancy Van Kleunen-Curran, wife of Francis, of Chester Springs, and Jonathan P. Van Kleunen, husband of Amy, of Duncansville; a brother, Roland Lawton, of Georgia; and six grandchildren, Lucy, Malcolm, Sophia, Jillian, Patrick, and Julia.
In addition to her husband, Patricia was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Basto.
A public viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, from 10:30-11:30 a.m., at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville, PA 17003. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 125 Spruce St., Annville, PA 17003. Interment will follow in Grand View Memorial Park, Annville.
