Paul L. Why, 69, of Annville, passed away Monday, July 11, 2022, at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Mary Alice (Repino) Why.
Born in York, PA, on December 7, 1952, he was the son of the late Purd S. Barshinger and Gloria Floyd of Seven Valleys, PA.
Paul was an active member of the Fourth United Methodist Church in York, PA since 1974. He retired from Rutter’s Dairy, Inc. Paul enjoyed playing horseshoes and was an avid York Revolution, Penn State Football, and NASCAR fan. He enjoyed spending time in Wildwood, N.J.
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother is a daughter, Rachel Why of York, PA; two sons, Timothy Why, husband of Val of York, PA, Aaron Why, husband of Jennefer of Gettysburg, PA; six siblings, Arthur “Mick” Why, husband of Nancy of York, PA, Thomas P. Barshinger, Elaine K. Giuffrida, wife of Steve of New Freedom, PA, Wayne A. Barshinger of Seven Valleys, PA, Rodney E. Barshinger of Seven Valleys, PA, Ellen L. Barshinger, nine grandchildren and his beloved cat, Kitty Kitty.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Paul’s memory to Fourth United Methodist Church at 20 N. Lehman St. York, PA 17403.
Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Annville, is handling arrangements.
