Peggy A. Barket, 79, of Tower City, passed away at her home on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021. She was the wife of John A. Barket. They celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary this past June.

Born in Valley View on May 26, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Annie C. (Lubold) Koppenhaver. She was a graduate of Porter Tower High School, Tower City, with the class of 1959. Peggy was a member of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Lebanon. She was very involved with the Boy Scouts of America. Peggy was a Cubmaster and was the chairman of the Lancaster/Lebanon popcorn campaign. She was a recipient of the Silver Beaver Award. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Matthew J., husband of Angela Barket, of Lebanon, her daughter, Laraine C. Barket, of Pataskala, OH, her grandchildren, Jonathan M., husband of Angela Barket, of Orwigsburg, Anthony M. Barket, and Ambrose Barket, of Lebanon, and her great-granddaughter, Lucy Barket. Peggy was one of 13 children.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, Jan. 29, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the Greenwood Cemetery, Tower City.
