Peter Maurice McGuire, 67, of Lebanon County, passed away on Feb. 4, 2026, due to complications following a courageous battle against cancer. He leaves behind the love of his life, Holly (Batdorf) McGuire, of Myerstown, after 42 years of marriage. He is survived by his children, Katelyn and Erick McGuire, and granddaughter, Mallory, whom he adored to no end.

Pete was born to the late Peter James and Mary Elizabeth McGuire on June 11, 1958, and was the youngest of eight children, including his surviving sisters, Patricia McGuire, Peggy McGuire, and Therese Falk. He was preceded in passing by his sisters, Elizabeth Marie McGuire-Houtz and Mary Anna Farrar. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly.

Pete was a well-known and beloved member of the Lebanon community and a proud graduate of Lebanon Catholic High School Class of 1976. For most of his life, he worked as a car salesman at nearly every dealership in the area, doing what he loved most: talking to people.

In recent years, he participated in a Bible study group and read scripture in his free time. Pete’s born-again faith in Christ gave him the strength to remain courageous and positive throughout his entire battle. He was a passionate fan of Notre Dame sports, as any good Irish-Catholic should be, according to him. Petey-Pete was also a longtime Philadelphia Eagles season ticketholder and a legend among the tailgating crowd. Fly, Petey, Fly!
