Phoebe M. Wasserman, 91, of Palmyra, passed away Monday, May 22, 2023, at Hospice & Community Care in Mount Joy. Phoebe was the wife of the late Richard J. “Dipper Dan” Wasserman, who passed away in 2009.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Pauline (Weinstock) Cooper.

Phoebe worked alongside her husband in their former ice cream business Dipper Dan Ice Cream Shop at the Lebanon Valley Mall. Phoebe enjoyed reading and playing BINGO at Columbia Cottage, where she was a resident. Most of all, Phoebe enjoyed spending time with her family.

Phoebe is survived by her three children, Nancy, wife of Marlin “Butch” Kreider, Steven Wasserman, and Gail (Wasserman) Weigle; one granddaughter, Samantha Weigle; and one sister, Eunice Boscov.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Cooper.
