Phyllis C. (Pastore) Basehore, 62, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on Saturday, May 22, 2021. She was born Thursday, October 2, 1958, to the late Vincent Pastore, Sr. and Helen (Rozzo) Pastore. She is survived by her loving husband Robert Basehore.
Phyllis always found joy in being of service to others, be it a friend in need, participating in Project Fellowship, or volunteering time for Children’s Miracle Network. She was an employee of The Hershey Company for 14 years, previously working for the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown and Lebanon Valley College. At each, she made dear friendships which she treasured. Her spirit and sense of humor was apparent to all who met her. Give her a baton to twirl or a moon to howl at and she was in her element. Her favorite place in the world was the beach. She found hobbies in gardening, sewing, cooking, and walking her dog Booker, but her most cherished activity was spending time with family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Kristen Basehore and companion, Leonard Hunsicker, Jr., brother, George Pastore and wife Luann, sister-in-law Tina Pastore, several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces, and nephews, and K9 companion, Booker. She is predeceased by her siblings Vincent Pastore, Jr. and Justine Williams.
