Phyllis L. Bennethum, 83, of Lebanon, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026. She was the wife of the late Gary L. Bennethum.

Born in Lebanon on Oct. 28, 1942, she was daughter of the late Ralph W. and Beulah R. (Bates) Kreiser. Phyllis, along with her husband, was the owner and operator of the Bennethum Radiator Repair in Myerstown. She enjoyed doing ceramics, crocheting, knitting, playing games, and cooking. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Donna, wife of Dean Heberling, of Winder, GA, Bonnie, wife of Patrick McDonough, of Birdsboro, Kathy, wife of the late David Lear, of Lebanon, Mary, wife of Mark Weiss, of Myerstown, and Susan, wife of Matthew Kershner, of Lake Wynonah; brothers, Larry E. (Carol) Kreiser, of Jonestown, Rufus R. “Butch” (Lois) Kreiser, of Jonestown, and Gary L. (Laura) Kreiser, of Lebanon; sisters, Shirley A. Dorn, of Lebanon, Jean, wife of the late David Krause, of Lebanon, Darlene M. Cooley, of Texas, Sandra L., wife of the late Clifford Wampler, of Lebanon, and Brenda (Daniel) Dzuranin, of Lebanon; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Amber McDonough; and brother, Donald C. (Lucille) Kreiser.

In honoring Phyllis’ wishes, services will be at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at the Pleasant Hill Chapel Cemetery, Greenpoint.
