Pierce D. Ditzler, 82, of Jonestown, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was the husband of Shirley A. Bickle Ditzler. On August 14th, they celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary.

Born in Lebanon on December 25, 1939, he was the son of the late David E. and Jennie Kreiser Ditzler.

Pierce served in the U.S. Army. He had worked at the Lebanon Steel Foundry and retired from PennDOT. He was a member of the Sattazahn Lutheran Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his stepsons Jay, husband of Gloria Himmelberger of Rehrersburg, and Gary, husband of Sherry Himmelberger of Bernville; sister Sandra Fulmer of Cleona; six grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his brother Lowell Thomas Ditzler and his sister Doris L. Wagner.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. A viewing will begin one prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Sattazahn Lutheran Church Cemetery, Green Point.
