Randy Price, 62, passed away on Oct. 26, 2024, at Spring Creek Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Harrisburg, PA, following three years of bravely battling cancer each step of the way.

Born on Feb. 14, 1962, in Lebanon, PA, Randy was the greatest Valentine’s Day present that his parents, Raymond Price and Lorraine Price née Hinks, could have possibly received.

The pride and joy of Randy’s life was his long career as a pit crew member for the professional stock car racing team, Bobby Gerhart Racing. Randy was in love with the mechanics of racing, and it was not unusual for him to disappear and be unreachable for a week at a time in his devotion to that pursuit. He served as a pit crew member all across the country, from Las Vegas to Talladega, from Pennsylvania’s own Poconos to Daytona Beach. Gerhart won seven races in Daytona while Randy was on his pit crew, surely due in no small part to having such a dedicated member on the team.

A man with an unquenchable lust for living, Randy never went halfway on a hobby. Whenever he went fishing with his beloved family, off Sunset Beach near Cape May Point, Randy would bake out in the sun for hours at a time, driven by the need to catch that next big fish. He enjoyed spending time at the Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course, where he was a true believer that if you never played the game, then you could not win. When he decided to get into firearms, Randy collected them quicker than he could get around to shooting all of them. And when it came to sports, well … Randy would tell you, there simply was no other team besides the Eagles.

Randy is survived by his brothers, Glenn (Elizabeth) Hinks and Kerry Price; his nieces, Kayla (Brandon) Janesko and Haley Price; his nephews, Kevin Hinks and Thomas Hinks; and his grand-niece, Ava Janesko, and grand-nephew, Cayde Janesko.

He was preceded in death by his brother, James Price.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

May their love for Randy’s memory shine on like a Cape May diamond.
