Ray G. “Toby” Tobias, 87, of Myerstown, formerly of Richland, died Saturday, June 26, 2021, at StoneRidge Poplar Run, Myerstown. He was the husband of Ellen S. (Snyder) Tobias, who died November 26, 2016.

Born in Richland on March 25, 1934, he was the son of the late David and Elsie (Schoener) Tobias. A 1952 graduate of Myerstown High School, Ray was a member of Zion’s and St. John’s Reed’s Lutheran Church, Womelsdorf. He was employed at Quaker Alloy, Myerstown, for 38 1/2 years, retiring in 1996. Ray enjoyed bowling, woodworking, and camping, and was an avid Phillies and Bruins fan. He was an enthusiastic member of the StoneRidge Personal Care Bell Choir and enjoyed performing for friends and family.

Ray is survived by daughters, Susan, wife of Anthony Weihrauch, of Lebanon, Sharon, wife of Chris Riegel, of Womelsdorf, son, James, husband of Crystal Tobias, of Lebanon, grandchildren, Melissa and Susan, great-grandchildren, Dakota, Destini, and Daniel, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 1, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, preceded by a viewing beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Richland Cemetery.
