Rayanne D. Lehman, 78, of Annville, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024, at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. She is survived by her loving husband, Dennis M. Lehman.

Born in Harrisburg, PA, on Oct. 4, 1945, she was the daughter of Raymond C. and Anna L. (Lutz) Behney.

Rayanne was a 1967 graduate of Lebanon Valley College, Annville, PA, and retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, where she was an entomologist for 30 years. During her career, she was involved in fighting the spread of Avian Influenza in the early 1980s and the Plum Pox Virus in the early 2000s; she worked with many Pennsylvania Christmas Tree Growers Association members across the Commonwealth. She was a member of the Entomological Society of America and the Entomological Society of Pennsylvania.

Rayanne was a member of the Eastern Stewards Club. She was an AKC-licensed dog show superintendent who bred German shorthaired pointers. She was a member of the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of America and President of the Schuylkill Valley German Shorthaired Pointer Club. Additionally, Rayanne enjoyed traveling and was previously active with Boy Scouts, Troop #456, PA Dutch Council, and Girl Scouts.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, is her daughter, Tracy A., of Richmond, VA; her son, Daniel E., husband of Lisa A., of Boalsburg, PA; two brothers, Charles F. Behney, of Delaware and Florida, and Lloyd M. Behney, husband of Debra, of Delaware; and eight grandchildren.

A public open visitation will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville, PA 17003. A private inurnment will be held at Grand View Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.
