Raymond K. “Butch” Brightbill, 78, of Lebanon died Thursday, June 10, 2021, in his residence. He was the husband of Susan J. Lesher Brightbill with whom he celebrated 53 years of marriage.

Born in Lebanon on May 19, 1943, he was the son of the late Raymond E. and Lavenia Belle Drye Brightbill. He retired from maintenance at Ft. Indiantown Gap. Prior to his employment there, he worked at Bethlehem Steel, Lebanon and the New Cumberland Army Depot. After retirement, he worked at Coleman’s Park, Cheney’s Seafood, and the Manheim Auto Auction.

Butch was a U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam, a member of the 173rd Airborne and served as a Military Policeman.

He enjoyed hunting, competed in Trap Shooting, and was a member of the American Trap Shooters Association.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Jessica R. wife of Andrew M. Herberg, of Lebanon, a granddaughter, Emma Rae Brightbill, two sisters, Barbara wife of David Weiser and Cynthia wife of Timothy Putt, both of Lebanon, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kristen Nichole Brightbill.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
