Rebecca “Becky” Hearsey, 54, of Annville, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. She passed peacefully at home after spending the Easter Weekend surrounded by friends and family. She is survived by her husband, Todd D. Hearsey, with whom she celebrated 28 years of marriage.

Becky was born in Lebanon on June 27, 1970, to the late Audrey (Breidenstine) Hitz and Luke Hitz, of Cleona. She was a graduate of Shippensburg University, where she was active in the Phi Sigma Sigma Sorority. She earned her MBA from Lebanon Valley College. She was the assistant director of alumni and family engagement at Lebanon Valley College. She was a member of Annville Church of the Brethren, where she loved being involved with the youth activities.

Becky had a passion for life, and she brightened every room that she walked into. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, and friend, providing all with so much love, compassion, and empathy. She could be counted on for support and was always ready to help anyone that she could, including giving the best hugs. Becky brought life to the party and was truly a joy to be around.

One of her greatest loves was traveling with her family, including regular trips to the beach in Cape May, NJ, and to the family cabin in Tioga County. She particularly enjoyed a bucket list trip to Greece in 2023 and their last family trip to Surfside, SC. She also loved being outside in the garden and always made sure that her yard was an inviting place. She was an excellent cook and baker and loved to pass treats along as a sign of her love. These are all gifts that she has passed along to her kids.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her children, Andrew Hearsey, of Annville, and Emma Hearsey, of Annville; and sister, Stephanie Martenson (Fredrick), of Lititz.

A celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Miller Chapel on the campus of Lebanon Valley College, East Sheridan Avenue, Annville, PA 17003. There will be a visitation from 2-4 p.m. preceding the service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the PA Breast Cancer Coalition, www.pabreastcancer.org/donate/.
