“Rich” Rollin Richard Rheinheimer II passed away at his home after a long battle with cancer on Oct. 9, 2024.

Rich retired from Wilbur Chocolate before returning to school to become an MRI technologist and then retiring from UPMC in 2021 when his battle with cancer began.

Rich had a passion for two hobbies, photography and hunting. He was excellent at both. He dabbled in knifemaking and was an avid reader.

He had an outgoing, warm personality and loved to laugh. He was an encouraging faithful friend. He was a man with a true servant’s heart.

He loved his wife, family, and friends. But above all, he loved serving his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was a longtime member of Faith Baptist Church of Lebanon, serving faithfully in the sound booth ministry, and he had a couple of terms on the deacon board.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Joyce (Eckert) Rheinheimer (Lebanon, PA); two children: daughter, Heather Rheinheimer (Lebanon, PA), and son, Erik Rheinheimer (Willmar, MN); and grandson, Owen Rheinheimer (Willmar, MN). In addition, he is survived by his mother, Betty J. Rheinheimer (Lititz, PA); brother, Ronald, and his wife, Teri Rheinheimer (Fountain Hills, AZ); as well as his nieces and nephews: Earl, Jodi, Jennifer, Jessica, Jeremiah, Matthew, Cara, Jared, Hannah, Kate, Madeleine, Noah, and Benjamin, who will miss his teasing, hi-jinks, and jokes.

A memorial service will be held at Faith Baptist Church, 220 S. 22nd St., Lebanon, PA, on Oct. 26, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. His cremains will be scattered by the family at a future date to be decided. Friends and family will be received after the memorial service, along with refreshments.
