Richard A. Donmoyer, Jr., 67, of Myerstown, was surrounded by his family when he passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021, in the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was the husband of Mary K. Lightner Donmoyer, with whom he celebrated 27 years of marriage.

He was born in Lebanon on Sept. 23, 1954, a son of the late Richard and Mabel Netzley Donmoyer.

He graduated from ELCO High School in 1973, where he played baseball and soccer. Rich played for many years in the Lebanon City/County Fast-Pitch Softball League for Lauck’s Sporting Goods team.

Rich was employed as a steel fabricator for BSM in Myerstown and also worked at Iron Valley Golf Course as a groundskeeper. His favorite things to do were hunting, fishing, golfing, or taking a nap.

He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and was so proud of becoming a great-grandfather in June 2022.

In addition to his wife, Rich is survived by daughters, Amy Belleman, and husband, Jake, of Myerstown, Angie Leisey, and husband, Greg, of Richland; grandchildren, Savannah Cox, and husband, Tyler, Aden Leisey, Becka Belleman, and Lila Leisey.

Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 5, at 10:30 a.m. in Heidelberg Church of the Brethren, 162 E. Reistville Rd., Myerstown, PA. Following his memorial service, there will be a celebration of his life at the Neptune Fire Co., 20 E. Main St., Richland, PA.
