Richard A. Franchi, 91, of Lebanon, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026, in the presence of his loving wife and family.

Born in Quebec, Canada, he was the loving husband of Ada Costella Franchi, whom he married on Feb. 7, 1959. Over the years, their marriage blossomed. A veteran, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Richard worked for American Airlines for 39 years as a flight engineer. His love for planes led to his hobby of building both model planes and ships. He was a voracious reader who deeply enjoyed spending time outdoors, absorbing the rays from the sun. Traveling to Arizona, building custom pens, and guns were other interests of his. Richard enjoyed the sound of bagpipes and had an interest in American-made cars.

Surviving, in addition to his beloved wife, Ada, are three children, Lisa, wife of Bill Gleason, Christopher, husband of Paula Franchi, and David Franchi; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

At Richard’s request, there will be no services. Those desiring may send memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospice, 252 S. 4th St., Lebanon, PA 17042.
