Richard A. Turner, 85, of Bethel, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Providence Place in Pine Grove. He was the husband of the late Joyce Ann Schaeffer Turner.

Born in Hershey on April 29, 1939, he was the son of the late Arthur and Grace Funk Turner.

Following high school, he served in the U.S. Navy. Richard retired from Moorefield Communications, where he had worked on installations. He had been a member of the 1st United Methodist Church in Madisonville, TN, and he attended the Suedburg Church of God. In his early years, he enjoyed racing motorcycles. He enjoyed watching hummingbirds, and he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his daughter, Kathy E., wife of Lenny Seiders, of Bethel; son, Keith, husband of Nicki Turner, of Elizabethtown; brother, Kenneth Turner, of Mt. Joy; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. There will be a visitation at 9:30 a.m. until the start of the service. Interment will follow at the Suedburg Church of God Cemetery.
