Richard E. Bowman Jr., 77, of Annville, passed away at his residence on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2024. He was the husband of Marie E. (Witmer). They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary in April.

Born in Lebanon on Feb. 23, 1947, he was the son of the late Richard E. and Fern I. (Maurer) Bowman Sr.

Rick graduated from Annville-Cleona High School with the Class of 1966. He attended the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Grantville. He worked as a Journeyman Electrician/Serviceman and was a member of Harrisburg IBEW Local 143 until he retired in 2010. Rick enjoyed hunting with his family, fishing, attending Drag races, camping, and eating.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Robert E., husband of Dawn Bowman, of Jonestown, and Jeremy L. Bowman, of Etters; grandsons, Zakkary, Blaize, and Camdyn; brother, James Bowman, of Jonestown; and sisters, Karen Lee of Charleston, WV, and Barbara Brown, of Fredericksburg.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Gary and David Bowman; and sister, Patricia Southward.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024, at Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. There will be a viewing from 10 a.m. to the start of the service. Interment will follow at Lembergers Cemetery.
