Richard E. Peiffer, 82, of Annville, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021, at Linden Village. He was the husband of Doris G. (Moyer) Peiffer, sharing 57 years in marriage.

Born in Lebanon on Jan. 31, 1938, he was the son of the late Charles and Eva (Bentz) Peiffer. Richard attended Annville High School and went on to work as a maintenance worker at Three Mile Island. He was also a member of the Coast Guard Reserves. Richard loved classic cars and enjoyed working on and repairing all types of cars. He was often called “MacGyver,” as he was known to be able to fix anything. Richard loved to travel, especially going on cruises with his wife.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, is children, Dean R. Peiffer, husband of Scott Foltz, of Columbus, OH, Deanna M. Peiffer, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Danielle S. Peiffer, of Hershey. Richard was preceded in death by siblings, John Peiffer, Charles Peiffer, Valeria Harter, Bette Hartman, and Anna Boyer.

Due to current circumstances, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
