Richard J. “Rick” Forbes, 65, of Lebanon, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at MS Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of Lisa D. (Filipowski) Forbes.

Rick was born in Titusville on Feb. 14, 1961, to the late Harry and Dorothy (Birtchfield) Forbes. He was a plumber at Indiantown Gap Military Reservation. Rick was known for being a plumber by day, and then after work, going to the American Legion and having a beer and enjoying chicken wings.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his brothers, Thomas Forbes (Susan Helm), of Lebanon, and Harry James Forbes, of Florida; and stepdaughters, Darcy Green, of Franklin, and Daidre Green, of Franklin. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert “Bob” Forbes, David “Dave” Forbes, William “Bill” Forbes, and Leonard “Lenny” Davenport.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 3 p.m., at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Road, Annville, with military honors. Following his burial, there will be a gathering for food and drinks held at The Laboratory, 1045 W. Main St., Annville, beginning at 4 p.m.

An additional gathering will be held with family and friends on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from noon to 4 p.m., at the Millard Mansion, 1 Clear Spring Road, Annville.
