Richard P. Stober, 81, of Hummelstown, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024, at his residence. He was the husband of the late Kimberly A. (Blalock) Stober, who passed away in 2018.

Richard was born in Lebanon on Dec. 30, 1942, to the late Edward and Violet (Brubaker) Stober.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He received his master’s degree from Michigan State. Richard worked as a labor mediator for the PA Department of Labor and Industry. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Springfield, PA. He played trombone, enjoyed gardening, spending time with family, and listening to music, and was a PSU and Phillies fan.

Surviving is his children, Crystal Barcellona (Richard), of Johnstown, Jennifer Karpaitis (Kirk), of Mechanicsburg, Karick E. Stober (Amanda), of Hummelstown, and Daniel Stober (Heather), of Smith Mountain Lake, VA; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Susan Graby, of Cleona.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 11 a.m., at Hill Lutheran Church, 998 N. Mill St., Lebanon, PA. Interment with military honors will be in the adjoining church cemetery. There will be a viewing from 10-11 a.m. at the church.
