Richard Scott “Scotty” Via, 70, of Palmyra, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024.
Scotty was born in Hershey on May 19, 1954, to the late John and Margaret (Shifflett) Via.
He was a member of Gravel Hill United Methodist Church. He enjoyed talking on the phone, reading, and riding bikes.
He is survived by his siblings, John Via Jr., of Palmyra, Kenneth Via (Constance), of Grantville, Steven Via, of Palmyra, and Carol Nye, of Rehoboth Beach, DE; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Jeffrey Via, Barbara Worman, Betty Via, Christine Burdge, Wanda Via, and Paula Via.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Gravel Hill United Methodist Church, 131 Gravel Hill Road, Palmyra. Interment will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church.
