Rickey L. “Rick” Nicholas Sr., 66, passed away peacefully on Sept. 8, 2024, in his home in Richland.

He was born on Aug. 2, 1958, to the late William Nicholas and Kathryn Nicholas (Long) and graduated from Cedar Crest High School before embarking on a fulfilling career in state service, notably spending most of his time at Wernersville State Hospital as a Utility Plant Operator.

Throughout his life, Rickey found joy in restoring vehicles and cherished the freedom of riding his motorcycle on open roads. His love for dogs was evident through his companions, Cocoa, Buddy, and Bandit, who brought him immeasurable happiness.

Rickey leaves behind his beloved wife, Karen M. Nicholas (Haydt); son, Rickey Nicholas Jr.; grandchildren, Isabella and Rickey Nicholas III; siblings, Donna Klein (Kendall), Anita Zematis, Darlene Becker (Chuck), Shirley Wilson, and Lillian Michael (Ken); nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and -nephews.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Harvey Stamm and Linda Rivera.

Services will be at the convenience of the family.
