Ricky J. (Rick) Woelfling, 65, of Lebanon PA passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024 at the Hershey Medical Center. He was born on March 24, 1958 to the late Joseph R. and Edith L. (Showers) Woelfling.
He was a graduate of Lebanon High School class of 1976 and was a self-employed business owner of LPS Racers In Lebanon. Rick built and repaired many winning local dirt track race cars for tracks such as the late Silver Spring, Williams Grove, Port Royal and Selinsgrove. He also fabricated race car parts that were sold internationally.
His love of racing included attending and participation in local races, attending and sponsorship laps at the INDY 500 and for several years traveling to NASCAR racetracks as a member of the Bobby Gerhart Racing Team pit crew. In addition to his love of racing, Rick sheltered stray cats and was a frequent traveler to Disney World and had a passion for Disney collectables.
He is survived by his brother, Joseph G. and wife Linda of Palmyra, niece Lindsay Woelfling of Lebanon, nephew Joseph R. and wife Shaina of Landisville and 3 great nephews. He is preceded in his death by his partner, Lori (Winters) Christner formerly of Lebanon.
The services will be held on Tuesday, March 5 at the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland Street, Lebanon PA 17042. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 with the funeral service starting at 11:00.
